1963 Gretsch PX 6070 bass with original leather gig bag. All original parts and pieces - had no problems with anything. Gretsch special design pickup,(as stated in the 1965 catalog) long scale, floating bridge, (remember ed to change one string at a time) string mute worked fine, decaying rubber was changed to felt, 3 position tone switch, 1 volume, mute switch and original endpin for playing cello style. Gig bag zippers worked fine, had pocket on the back - carrying handle and shoulder strap. Strap button had been moved from the upper body horn to the back of the neck/body heel. This made the bass nicely balanced and playable. And the best part was the action on this bass was perfect, the neck was fat but excellent. There were no dings or scratches to speak of (one light 3/16 inch scratch above the tone switch, hardly noticed). This was probably the best and one of the earliest made (as indicated by the single screw thumb/finger rests) Gretsch basses I'll find.
